I told Kevin when we were driving out here that we needed to jump into doing fun things to help us transition smoothly. So we spent our first weekend in Wisconsin doing our favorite thing; camping. It was a short camping trip and it was so great. We got our camp set up, spent two hours trying to get our fire going so we could cook dinner, roasted some s’mores and went to bed. We woke up really early (there are no mountains to block the sunrise), hung out around camp and played some games then cleaned up and found a few trails to “hike.” Everything is flat here so it’s more like going on a nature walk in the woods but it was still fun and very pretty.
It was so nice to just spend some time together and reflect on our first week in this new place and talk about our future here. We love camping because we usually spend it just talking and talking about anything and everything. I love being married to my best friend. We never run out of things to talk about. We’re pretty lucky!
