Dear Amberly,
I know that you are having a hard time with school right now. I understand that it’s hard and that you want to quit. It’s true that you aren’t doing that much, but it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. You are going to get through the next two months. Someday (very soon!) you will finally complete your last class as a college student, and then you can focus on finals. You’ll do great at finals, especially if you actually use the reading days to study (which will be a first). Once you take those 4 tests, you will be free forever and you will be a college graduate. This all will happen in just 2 months. So let’s maybe stop having thoughts about wanting to quit now and screw the diploma. It’s not worth it. School is worth it. When it is all said and done and you finally have your degree, you will be so grateful and proud. But if you quit now, you will be very disappointed later. So just put on your game face and get down to business.
Now Amberly, the next two months aren’t going to be easy, this is true. You have a massive research paper due in each of your major classes and a big project for your Family History class. It would really help you out if you would start working on those things now. Maybe even get one or two of them out of the way on some Saturday, instead of whining that your husband has to do homework all day and that you are so bored. Tomorrow you are going to take your last midterm, and then you can breathe a sigh of relief, and get working on your papers.
You know that you need to get your internship hours girl. If you keep getting behind and not completing your 10 hours a week, then the last couple of weeks of the semester are going to be really awful. So just buckle down and do it.
I realize that all of this sounds easier said than done. I know that even as you are thinking about all of this you are starting to feel the symptoms of a panic attack. But it’s all going to be okay. You will get through it, just take it one day at a time. Make a plan and just get it all finished. You don’t have to Ace everything. You probably couldn’t Ace this semester even if you wanted to. Remember, “C’s get degrees” and you really just have to pass your classes.
You are almost there, keep going! Don’t give up now!
Love,
Me
