Play Date

Last night I put myself in charge of date night and surprised Kevin with a “Play date.” It was such a blast. I love having date night with Kevin, even when we don’t do anything fancy, but sometimes it’s nice to do something totally out of the ordinary. We definitely tapped into our inner child last night.

For Dinner we had Mac & Cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches, which Kevin was very excited about.  IMG_3129IMG_3130

I made play dough earlier in the day, which we played with and made little sculptures. It was a blast. I used this play dough recipe and it turned out so great. It was super easy to make and to play with. :)

Throughout the whole evening we jammed out to Disney songs. It was awesome. IMG_3139IMG_3160IMG_3162IMG_3170

After we had our fill of play dough, we pulled out the finger paint that I had made earlier in the day using this recipe. If I’m being honest, it felt more like we were painting with pudding than with paint, but it was still a blast.  IMG_3309IMG_3230IMG_3266IMG_3301

We finished off our date night by watching Anastasia which Kevin had NEVER seen! He loved it, of course. We even did the sing-a-long after the movie was finished. It was honestly one of the most fun date nights we’ve had in a while, especially since it was at home and essentially free! Hooray for date night, and hooray for marriage!
